Empowerment Through Education
At Pink Belts Construction Group, we are committed to supporting Indigenous communities through initiatives that empower youth and foster success in business and entrepreneurship. Our seminars, held in collaboration with colleges and universities, provide valuable resources and knowledge tailored to Indigenous students. We focus on building a strong foundation for future leaders by offering insights into effective business practices, leadership skills, and networking opportunities.
“Project Danny” by Pink Belts Construction Group, led by Robyne, is a deeply personal and transformative second-chance program. Named in memory of Robyne’s brother, Danny, who tragically died from alcoholism, the program is dedicated to supporting young offenders, women, and men exercising sobriety, particularly within the Aboriginal community. Robyne’s unwavering commitment to helping others stems from her own heartbreaking losses, including the death of her son, Devyn, to addiction in 2021 at the age of 26, as well as the disappearance of her sister, Lori, in 1976 when she was just 14 years old. This series of tragedies, including witnessing her Father spiral into alcoholism after the loss of his daughter, has fueled Robyne’s desire to create a space for healing and recovery for those facing similar struggles.
“Project Danny” provides participants with the opportunity to work full-time for six months, where they gain essential job skills, develop confidence, and understand workplace expectations. The program aims to help participants become job-ready and empowered to take the next steps in their recovery journey, ultimately guiding them toward independence and self-sufficiency. Graduates are then connected with long-term employment opportunities through partners in the community.

Beyond her work with “Project Danny” Robyne is deeply involved in her community. She volunteers with Refuge Mission Hall, where she engages in fundraising and is an active member of her church. Robyne also dedicates her time to cooking for the homeless and taking to the streets to ensure their safety and well-being. Her commitment to serving others and making a difference in the lives of those in need is a testament to her compassion and dedication.
Robyne’s faith plays a central role in her life. She is a theological graduate of Christ City Church, where her relationship with God grounds her work and provides the foundation for her personal and professional mission. Robyne’s journey of full sobriety and her focus on healing through faith are integral to the success of “Project Danny,” as she combines her personal experiences with her spiritual beliefs to offer hope, support, and empowerment to others.
“Project Danny” is more than just a job placement program—it is a mission built on love, faith, and the belief in second chances. It honors the memories of Robyne’s brother, son, and sister, while providing a compassionate, supportive space for those affected by addiction, trauma, and past struggles. Robyne’s dedication to both her community and her faith reflects her unwavering belief in the power of recovery, redemption, and transformation.
